Week 58: Works

by phantomseptember July 30, 2014

incidentsillustration:

This week’s prompt is to show some of the artwork you’ve been doing over the summer (or winter, for those in the southern hemisphere). It can be a finished piece, or just a selection of sketches. We’re all working on various personal projects, so let’s celebrate that.

Tag your finished work as Week 58: Works

Bonus: If you have some extra time, do some sketches or drawings that involve one of your favourite animals.

The prompt this week was to draw 15 figures, each in under 60 seconds, every day.
Decided to upload just a few of the total 105 drawings. Since these were supposed to be gesture drawings, I tried my best to focus on conveying lines of movement. Perhaps a useful exercise for me would be to limit myself to a certain number of lines for each drawing next time. I drew 15 figures a day faithfully this week, and it turned out to be a pretty fun stress reliever.

Week 57: 15

incidentsillustration:

It’s back to the basics this week. Breebird33 introduced me to a pretty neat gestural critique video, and this week is to draw 15 quick (done in 60 seconds or fewer) gestural anatomy drawings per-day.

Finished submissions should be tagged as: week 57: 15

Week 56: MonstersQuick doodle of a waterbear. It’s my first time drawing one, and I think I’d like to do a more finished version of a waterbear sometime. Six legged tiny creatures.

Sleepy adventures (part 1?)

Last week’s prompt in the illustration club was to draw a comic.

If you are suddenly in the strange situation you might have to sleep beside me please be sensible and opt for the couch. But at least I’m not the one making sudden, loud “PUU!” -noises, I think?

Week 56: Monsters

by phantomseptember July 13, 2014

Let’s draw some monsters this coming week.

Draw a massive monster (maybe terrorising a city like Godzilla or King Kong, or just silently observed in the sky or seas or space by explorers) inspired by a micro-organism. Examples of our minuscule monster-like friends could be tardigrades, water fleas or dust mites, for example.
